In this tutorial post, We will fix an error which generally come when we establish a connection with Forticlient VPN on windows 10. and that error is “Failed to establish the VPN connection. This may be caused by a mismatch in the TLS version. Please check the TLS version settings in the Advanced of the Internet options:- (5029)”.

Solution

This is due to mismatch in the TLS version on windows 7 or windows 10 Operating system.

How to fix Forticlient Error unable to establish the VPN connection forticlient -5029

Step1. Open run box and type “inetcpl.cpl”

Step2. Go to the advanced tab and in setting scroll down and search use TLS

Step3. Tick use TLS 1.0, use TLS 1.1, use TLS 1.2.

Step4. Apply and OK

Note :- Work with all Forticlient versions and all Windows Operating System.
